Rev. Edward L. Buckner, of Zalma, died last Friday morning at the Cape hospital where he had been taken for an operation after being shot by an unknown person near his home Thanksgiving morning. He was but a short distance from his home when the shots were fired at him with a shot gun. Two shots were fired but only one took effect. All that was possible was done to save his life, but the wound in his shoulder proved fatal. Mrs. Buckner and two children were in the Cape Friday and stated that she had no clue as to the identity of the murderer
