Thomas Gavigan son of John and Mary (Collentine) Gavigan operated the Gavigan Hotel from 1892- to 1896 at the Corner of Main and Elm in Downtown Blanchardville. Thomas was on the board of Directors for the Blanchardville Driving Association (racing, training horses)
Robert Dale Gavigan son of Thomas Leo Gavigan, grandson of Ned Gavigan used to say to his son Timothy that we had a relative that was a Horse Trader.
He would leave in the morning with one horse and return with three. I am guessing this might have been the fella. Thomas is Edward Gavigan’s (Ned) Brother – TMG – 2025
