Hommerstad is on this web site from the marriage of John McGilligan to Ruth Hommerstad . Ruth’s father Ole Olafsen Hommerstad immigrated to the US from Vang jer. Hamar, Norway in 1904. They lived in Beloit, farmed near Cooksville, Lived in Stoughton, then to Madison where he was a painter.

His wife (Anne Marie Pedersdatter Drumsrud) developed Alzheimer’s.   Anna was found wandering out the the Dane County Airport on her way back to Norway. Anna’s grand daughter Ora had Alzheimer’s. Her daughter Ruth did not but her granddaughter Patricia McGilligan supposedly had Azheimer’s but by this time the Alzheimer industrial complex had taken over meaning everyone that gets old has Azheimer’s.
