John McGilligan JR. Worked here around 1930’s. I am not sure if he owned the place or just worked there. I believe he just worked there. Ruth McGilligan told grandson Tim Gavigan when he was working at Westgate ARCO at the end of Westgate mall in 1981 that Grandpa John’s feet were raw from the gasoline and poor footwear.

Behind the building (the the left) was the August and Sophia Haak Grocery later Lorenzo’s Lounge, later in the 80’s it was called Schnooers Bar. I think Lorenzo’s Lounge was owned by the Farino Family that lived at the bottom of Toepfer Ave on Tokay blvd. If the Farino’s didn’t own it, Mr Farino worked there for sure.
